Crown Airways became a contractor for Allegheny Commuter System. In the 1970's it was acquired by Brockway Air, but aircraft operated as Allegheny Commuters in their colors on behalf of US Air. 1989, the airline transferred the US Air franchise to Trans World Express. Crown Airways ceased to exist as an independent entity in 1994 when it was purchased by Mesa Air Group.
